Alan’s Auto Repair is a mom-and-pop shop located in Burnsville, NC that is owned by Claire and Alan Powell, who have several decades worth of experience in the automotive industry. Alan started working on cars in high school back in the 80s and then served in the military from ‘84-90 where he discovered his passion for turning wrenches and elbow grease. The family is from Florida, where Alan had the opportunity to work on a wide range of vehicles such as Lamborghinis and various military vehicles in various shops scattered around the state. He had always dreamed of owning his own shop, so they took a risk, packed their bags, and hauled their belongings all the way to the mountains in western North Carolina in 2005. The rest is history.
